"Hello my name is Darren and I currently live at a house in Mooroolbark provided by Housing Futures. I have been homeless in the past and been through transitional, emergency housing and boarding houses for about 5 years. As you can be aware, some of these places leave allot to be desired when it comes to personal safety, noise and other goings on. The house at Mooroolbark is more like a home, my room is furnished to be comfortable, the people I live with are easy going and I actually have privacy. The relationship between the residents and the landlord is more like a friendly arrangement as opposed to a Landlord / Resident relationship and they are always willing to help with advice. It has been a long time since I have actually felt 'at home'. Thank you."
